Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/14 05:55 I too have an Inno3D 6600GT AGP and it cannot go higher than stock speed, I posted a thread about it...
Inno3D 6600GT OC prob...
I will also never buy Inno3D again...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/14 06:40 Well here is the thing Oreo; Inno3D is going to address some of the problems, they are aware of user feedback and while they are overwhelmed and inundated over the complaints and issues, they are going to answer the call of the consumer and for that I applaud them...

While its easy for us as end users to complain, Inno3D was very excited to be able to launch this card and while there are some issues for them, I think some of us including I, should cut them some slack because it is a big disappointment for them to have this kind of hardware-issue/feedback and they are actually going to so something about it. So let’s see how they perform in picking up the pieces…

However I feel you and others too, its just as a pain in the butt to dish out cold hard cash to not have a product live up to our expectations or desires and for that its a double whammy on Inno3D...

Guess what? I just exchanged mine and they gave me a new Inno3D 6600GT AGP. It looks different, lots of gold plated stuff and an extra mosfet at the back, if I'm not wrong. Also the ram is 2.0ns instead of the old 1.6ns and it OCs! NowI am at 560/1150MHz. It's great that they have the new boards out, and thank god I got one. So I guess it was the old board that was lousy and not my drivers/BIOS.

I will post the original BIOS later so you guys can toy with it. This time I'll make sure I make like 10 backup copies...

But if I had the choice... a fucked up 1.6ns card and a smooth working 2.0ns card. You know what I mean...
Mmm strange but I think, I am even sure that if your card had 2.0ns it would act the same way and would in fact even be clocked less higher on the memory. Cause it is not the memory that has an issue...

Now just some final words... I'll send the card back and will do this until I get a working card. But it isn't all negative. I've found a nice forum with some guys having a lot of experience with GFX-cards.
So, don't worry, be happy!

Well we are glad to have you on board. And we are always happy to help in any way we can...

Well I am looking forward to that BIOS! And I would say that Inno3D is doing a great job on getting their customers happy!

Fee fi fo fum, I smell a review from inno3d-dom!

Don't mind me, I think I'm still a little overtired from my all nighter with an FX55 system build.

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/23 01:22 Now I have a new 6600GT by Inno3D. Got a 2,0ns RAM card, because these cards were deliverable, so there was no exchange by Inno3D. I chose this way because of the warranty. I changed thermal compound and things like this
The new card is running really fine. I looked at the back of the card... if you remember this picture where somebody asked if there is a part missing and what it is... There are actually two places for this part. My old card had both free, my new one has one chip. So, maybe this was an really important part.
I'm really pleased! The new card is nice for overclocking.
With the option "detect ideal clock" (or whatever... I've German drivers ) I get 550MHz GPU and 1,1GHz RAM without any artifacts or freezes. With better cooling I think 600MHz are no problem. But I won't try so at the moment. The card is actually fast enough.

Edit:
Btw. BIOS -> Rev 2.0 of this page.
