Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/12 16:33
I have an Inno3d 6600GT AGP 128MB as well and there is no way to get higher than 500MHz on the core. Maybe 1.5V to the core would help, is it possible with a BIOS vmod? I tried several BIOSes and still no luck. I think that Inno3D missed some parts when making these cards.
Never ever will I buy Inno3D and I will surely advertise this on other forums. The card runs rather stable at the default scores but I don't get the best results especially in 3DMark2001 (only 14500 - I had 13800 with a 4200TI and like 16000 with a FX5900XT) and Aquamark (42000 - 6600GT , 44000 - FX5900XT). I even get 1500 point lower than with the previous card I had, the MSI GeForce FX5900XT. I did a fresh install of WinXP as well and have the newest chipset and display drivers...
My rig... - AMD Athlon 1700+ @ 2600+ (200MHz*11) - 2*256 DDR 400 TwinMos - Epox 8RDA+ nForce2 - 400Watt PSU
The temps with the original BIOS were 39°C at idle and now I have 50°C with Rev.02, no ambient temp. I applied thermal compound as well. Should I RMA this card or what?
