Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/02 10:28 I've backup the BIOS of this card with the last nvFlash. I've test the BIOS on my own card (flash it with backup BIOS)... No trouble.

The only thing is, NiBiTor have trouble to read it correctly and my card doesn't show the ambient temp...

Last thing, Inno3D have the most inefficient cooling system... 60°C in idle (50°C after cleaning and applying artic silver). I've read on Zalman site that it was possible to install the ZM80C-HP on the 6600GT well not the Inno3D.

Sorry for my English, I've done my best...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/02 17:57 Thanks for the BIOS. I will check this BIOS with our development for NiBiTor and see what we can do...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/02 18:18 Your card is a 128MB, right?

Mmm 50°C is a good temp, I'm guessing your ambient/card temp is 33°C then?

It's important to list both temps because you need them both to evaluate whether your cooling is effecient.

It seems that a lot of card manufacturers are getting sloppy in the assembly of the heatsink on the cards.

Also, you need to check the heatsink screws after a few days of running because when the gunk settles, it gets a tiny bit thinner and the screws may get a little loose.

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 02:26 Yes it's a 128MB. Is it possible to have ambient temp back using another flash?

Thanks for the info JRd1st, to be honest I didn't know what are normal temp for GeForce 6 series. I was using before a FX5200... With Doom 3 and mostly HL2 it was time for a move.

Ah yes now that I've clean the card and the temp are lowered (50-55°C need a few days for artic silver to work efficiently). I can use CoolBits (detect optimal settings) to overclock a bit to 535MHz for the core. Before at 60-65°C idle I had no overclock. I've also disassemble the heatsink and the card is now quiet.

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 10:53 Hi datrh,
What is your memory speed? Is it 1.6ns or 2ns?

My videocard was locked. I can not overclock. BIOS version is 5.43.02.41.
I heard all of Inno3D 6600GT AGP had been locked at 500/1000MHz. Why yours can be overclocked?

Thx. Sorry for my English...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 11:01 How to identify AGP or PCIe version in download field? Like "Inno3D 6600GT 128MB - Rev 01" is for AGP or not?

Thx a lot...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 15:49 When it is not mentioned it is the AGP version. And if else it is mentioned with PCIe in the title of the download.

And can you as well attach your BIOS on this thread? As I want to be able to compare em... Thanks!

And just to let you know all cards can still be overclocked... There is no locking yet like on CPU's. The only thing that wil be a showstopper when trying to overclock is the cooling...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 23:34 Hello guys!

Is there a BIOS that unlocks the card? I tried the 5.43.02.46.00 and it doesn't work! Does everyone have the 5.43.02.41 (or 42).00 from Inno3D? I need cause the 5.43.02.46.00 only displays NV43 p218 sku0 VGA BIOS...

Re:Inno3D 6600GT AGP - 2005/01/03 23:41 When I removed the heatsink, I've writen down all the info...

GPU : N09505.00 0434A2
Bridge: HSI-A4 165VT00835 0435
Memory : SAMSUNG 425 K4J55323QF-GC16 AWD444PAS

Voila, with this I think you can find the memory speed...
Well 11845 ( why am I thinking to THX1138 now) if you have Inno3D 6600GT AGP, remove the heatsink, remove the 4 rubber circles, clean the thing and apply correct thermal stuff. About the heatsink the only thing in copper is the plate so disassemble it to get rid of the Inno3D logo you will gain 20db less noise!
