Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues? - 2008/06/10 17:34 Right then, you recently helped to sort out this graphics card
but now unfortunately I have a new problem! No matter what game I'm in the graphics goes come distorted and skewed, but little squares appear with random colours in it, over certain sections of the screen. Updated all the drivers so haven't got a clue what it is. Does anybody understand what I mean and how to solve it? Thanks.

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues? - 2008/06/10 18:58 Okay, new information. I don't think my computer is even reading my graphics card. I got an error from trying to play Crysis, which I've played before on this graphics card. It states something as unsupported video card. Continuing to run might lead to unexpected results or crashes. My webpages also moves like a powerpoint slide. I think its to do with the drivers. Please help!

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues - 2008/06/10 19:08 Sorry to keep complicating matters but looking in my device manager and error is on the graphics card reading. Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged (code 19).

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues - 2008/06/10 19:38 Thanks for the many messages, so for me this is a clear issue with the drivers that didn't install as they should, or not completely installed. What I would suggest is that you boot into safe mode and make sure to remove all graphics card drivers as well as the graphics card from the device manager, then to restart and reinstall the drivers from scratch and check if those get installed successfully.

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues - 2008/06/10 21:51 Okay, I got rid of all the old drivers in safe mode. Restarted and installed new drivers, seemed to be in working order as I get the NVIDIA icon in taskbar and internet sites, videos work well. However as I was writing this message my computer froze and all the weird skewed graphics appeared. So I had to re-start so obviously it hasn't been sorted.

Than I guess your card is having some issues and the best way would be to clock it a bit lower and see if that resolve the issue. So both the core and memory clock will need to be lowered, try with 50MHz less and see what that gives.

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues - 2008/06/10 22:21 sorry don't really know how to do that

Re:Another problem with GeForce 7600 GT, some visual issues - 2008/06/10 23:03 The best option is to user RivaTuner or PowerStrip, which are programs you can download from the internet and with those you can lower both the core and memory clock speed of the graphics card from within Windows. And once done see if it makes a difference or not. Also check if the cooling of the card is still working fine, as it might be overheating somehow.
