Re:GeForce 6600 card with wrong BIOS flashed, please help?! - 2008/01/06 13:18

Can I use other video card to repair my GeForce 6600? Well since you state that you have a blank screen, I am presuming that the PC is still booting up just fine with the GeForce 6600 card in it? If so then you need to make a bootable DOS media, like a floppy or USB stick and you also need to make sure that the system is booting from that media. This you need to setup on the mainboards BIOS... So maybe you just need to borrow a working graphics card to set that.
Once that is okay you just add in the "autoexec.bat" of the bootable DOS media the command listed below which will flash the graphics card completely automatically and once done reboot. So that means you first remove the working card again and only put in the broken GeForce 6600. And on the bootable DOS media you put the backup BIOS.
nvFlash v5.xx Commands... "nvflash -4 -5 -6 -y -A backup.rom" (Automatic BIOS Flash)
