Flashing an XFX GeForce 8800 GT and seek for BIOS advice? - 2008/05/27 16:41 Hey all, okay I got the VIA chipset with GeForce 8800 GT issue too, so I decided on flashing on a BIOS with a version of 62.92.24.x. I got an XFX GeForce 8800 GT 512MB XXX edition card running at 670MHz core and 1950MHz memory clock. Which BIOS you think will suit it the most? Should the other company's card's details be the same as mine? I was thinking on the EVGA GeForce 8800 GT KO version, which has 675MHz core and same 1950MHz memory clock. The BIOS version of this one is 62.92.24.x. What do you think, will this BIOS be good for my card, or do you suggest any better?

Re:Flashing an XFX GeForce 8800 GT and seek for BIOS advice? - 2008/05/27 18:11 As mentioned in the other threads about the VIA chipset and the GeForce 8800 GT cards you just have to use a BIOS version as of 62.92.24.x or higher and if you want to set the speeds like the version that you have got currently you use NiBiTor to adapt the clock speeds. Now in your case that EVGA BIOS will do it just fine.

You can use latest version, or the one just before the latest and that should work just fine to flash your graphics card.
