GeForce 9600 GT and looking for some silent power supply? - 2008/05/26 13:53 Can anyone recommend a quiet power supply that is capable of running the GeForce 9600 GT, as I have bought two so far that say quiet and both sound like vaccum cleaners...

Re:GeForce 9600 GT and looking for some silent power supply? - 2008/05/26 14:33 Quiet is subjective. All of the Corsair VX, HX and TX version power supplies should be very quiet and all be capable of running that card. But like I said, quiet is subjective.

Re:GeForce 9600 GT and looking for some silent power supply? - 2008/05/26 14:54 Someone else told me... The Seasonic 380W power supply will work with your GeForce 9600 GT, which by the way only draws 110W under full load. I know the spec's say you need a 400W power supply, will this one work?

Well it should work if you don't have too much other hardware, cause the 380W is rather low if you would have a powerful processor with some hard disks. So really you need to take that into account. The 12V rail can give enough power, if you have a light system. I would also look for PC Power & Cooling or Zalman for their quiet or silent series.
