Re:GeForce 8800 GT, and any way to edit out PCI Express 2.0? - 2007/12/12 22:41 Hi there, here is the inno3D GeForce 8800 GT OC BIOS. I used NiBiTor to extract to file. I hope this works. I will follow up with a BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC BIOS too. I don't need this sorting, its fine in my other machine, but you might want to anyway if you have not already to help someone else out. Thanks for your help.

Re:GeForce 8800 GT, and any way to edit out PCI Express 2.0? - 2007/12/13 20:35 Hi, like Empa some days ago, I also have a TwinTech GeForce 8800 GT not working on a VIA chipset based motherboard. However my BIOS version seems to be older, as it's version 62.92.16.00.04. Do you think you could help me? I attached my original BIOS. Many thanks in advance for your attention! Cheers.

Re:GeForce 8800 GT, and any way to edit out PCI Express 2.0? - 2007/12/14 06:22 I need the BIOS upgrade for my MSI GeForce 8800 GT (T2D512E). Where can I find that? What risks do I face when I upgrade and/or downgrade my firmware?

Well I will check it later on and see what can be done, normally on the older BIOS's it is possible and we are still working on the same thing for newer BIOS's, but since we have multiple updates ongoing you guys will have to wait a bit longer before we release a new version of NiBiTor...

Well I don't see what you message has to do with this thread but maybe you can explain? Cause why do you need an upgrade? If the card works fine then you don't need to upgrade and this thread is only for those facing issues with a non working card on their mainboard due to PCI Express incompatibility. So if you have that as well you need to backup the BIOS of your MSI video card, supply it on this thread and we will see what can be done.

Okay, that is actually what I was trying to say. Iam using an ASRock mainboard, which features the VIA 880 chipset. I will upload my BIOS file later. By the way, what about he risks? Can I damage my motherboard or the graphics card? Thanks...

Re:GeForce 8800 GT, and any way to edit out PCI Express 2.0? - 2007/12/14 19:08 Hi, I have the same problem with BFG card, so is this version on the downloads section actually the Gen1 BIOS that solves the problem? Or do I need to find it somewhere else?

Well I checked it out with that BIOS and you will have to wait as well as this is also newer then the actual first BIOS versions for the GeForce 8800 GT and we are still working on that as the structure has changed a bit and that part is impacted. So please also contact TwinTech to ask, so that they get extra feedback and we will see to contact NVIDIA directly...

Thanks for the update, please provide us as well your original BIOS of your MSI GeForce 8800 GT and we will see what can be done. At the same time do also contact MSI as the more that contact their manufacturer the more of those will give that feedback to NVIDIA and then they might do something about it.
