Yeah right, that is just the easy way of ASUS, they know dawn well that it is a problem of the mainboard and they have no idea to fix it really. Personally I wouldn't take that ASUS answer for granted at it is just the most easy answer they can give, and pointing towards the graphics card manufacturer.
And Gainward can't fix it as the only fix can come from NVIDIA, and only EVGA has gotten the best relations with NVIDIA to get special tweaked Gen1 BIOS's at the current state... So you see now what I mean, first NVIDIA is saying they are not responsible, but still if they would really want they can fix it somehow.
