Palit GeForce 8800 GS, and how to work with VIA chipsets? - 2008/05/03 16:53 How can I change the BIOS of the Palit GeForce 8800 GS 384MB? Sorry, that once again ask such question. Who knowns about the compatibility problem for motherboards and VIA chipsets with the G92 GPU's. How can I change the BIOS in the program NiBiTor and activate as Gen1? Sorry for my English I'm from Russia.

Re:Palit GeForce 8800 GS, and how to work with VIA chipsets? - 2008/05/04 04:17 Unfortunately I don't think this is possible. This was only a fix for the early GeForce 8800 GT's and it no longer works with later BIOS versions. Perhaps if you contact Palit directly they might provide you with a BIOS with better compatibility. For reference yoou can also read some on the below thread which handled the same issue.
GeForce 8800 GS, and any way to get an Gen1 BIOS version?

Well with NiBiTor it won't be possible, as the newer BIOS's have a different way top handle the PCI Express function, so the only one who can normally fix it is NVIDIA with a newer BIOS version. Though for us to check a bit more, can you provide us your original Palit BIOS by attaching it on this thread? Thanks.
