PNY GeForce 9600 GT, and some more overclocking question? - 2008/04/29 15:48 On 22th of April I posted my BIOS from my new PNY GeForce 9600 GT in the BIOS forums. I just have some questions. I have always had good luck in software overclocking my NVIDIA based cards. Some more so than others. Is it better to adjust memory timings and clock speeds at a BIOS level or just stick with what I know? And does anyone have suggestions, other than water cooling, for the best cooler for these cards?

When overclocking a graphics card, you always first try via software to give you an indication and use as such. If you afterwards would just like the card to be overclocked without the overclocking software then you need to make a BIOS change and flash it to your card. Currently the memory timings don't make much difference any more as the memory is already clocked quite high as is...
