Re:GeForce 8800 GS, and any way to get an Gen1 BIOS version? - 2008/04/20 02:53 I was going to get one of these boards too, though my GeForce 9600 GT might not have worked. At least NVIDIA are good at fixing problems they didn't cause, even if it is only a few of their products.

Re:GeForce 8800 GS, and any way to get an Gen1 BIOS version? - 2008/04/20 08:49 I contacted EVGA by phone twice and started a thread on their forums. They have not contacted me back yet at all. I am not too happy with that lack of communication and seeming lack of effort on their part.

Re:GeForce 8800 GS, and any way to get an Gen1 BIOS version? - 2008/04/20 09:01 That's odd, I always here good things about eVGA, although I never buy them since they are overpriced here in Australia. I can tell you how bad gigabyte's and powercolor's support is though

Well, the GeForce 9600 GT does not have that issue as NVIDIA was ahead of things and did the exact same tweak on their BIOS for these series from the start. So the GeForce 9600 GT has never had a problem as such, related to the PCI Express topic.

That is EVGA alright, at least that is what I know so far, when it is an issue they can't solve themselves they will need NVIDIA to the rescue and that takes time as it is from what I know a low priority... But their support is overrated, what made them strong at the beginning is no longer true.
