Great stuff mate, will be done later on as busy with some other stuff but really if you have any other original BIOS's from other forums like those please share as we can learn a lot of these BIOS's. Thanks again.
Wow thats impressive, pretty sure my card can't even come close top that. Not that I want to push it that high either. Sure makes me wanna try though. Did you run any benchmarks yet?

Euh it is not me, but since I have now a GeForce 8800 GT as well... Yeps received a sample to review, so that is coming after some other reviews that need to be done first as that time I will see how far I can get the sample.

Hehe, excellent mate, that seems to be one of the best overclocks I have seen so far with the GeForce 8800 GT, so the next one that want to impress me has to hit 800MHz or more... But very nice results mate.
I've got a BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC and it does 800MHz core without any special BIOS modifications, but I am water cooling the thing, so that helps out a lot. I'm now wanting to try and cross flash it to the new 512MB GTS if that possible. Has anyone done this as of yet.

Cool, great card you have there. Just one thing what would be the reason of flashing to the GTS 512MB? Cause you won't be able to unlock the extra pipelines... So really I don't see any real advantage in doing so?!

Re:Who is owning a GeForce 8800 GT, and ready for tweaking? - 2007/12/07 15:53 I was hoping for a way to unlock the extra pipes. But if that's not possible, I guess I'll be sticking with what I already have. I did modify the BIOS last night to have 1.1V in the voltage tab where there wasn't anything before as well as uping the clocks to what BFG is listing for their GeForce 8800 GT OC2 card. I may modify the BIOS to higher clocks after I bit more testing for stability...

Re:Who is owning a GeForce 8800 GT, and ready for tweaking? - 2007/12/26 21:11 I was wondering if BFG already runs 1.1V on their GeForce 8800 GT? Because my card doesn't crap out until 771MHz on the core unmodified which seems real high to me. This is testing with ATITool and also with the shader and memory overclocked. The BIOS rersion is 62.92.12.00.07 which has already been posted so I won't bother posting it again. The voltage on my BIOS is blank in NiBiTor, this is why I'm asking. So one could asume all GT's are default 1.05V even when showing blank in NiBitor?

Also, if my card is making it perfectly stable to around 760MHz in ATITool, then with the higher voltage should 800MHz stable be within reach? Now the most important question, is the higher voltage safe for long term and/or always usage? I'm not on the stock cooler by the way, I'm running a Thermaltake DuOrb.

Re:Who is owning a GeForce 8800 GT, and ready for tweaking? - 2007/12/27 13:46 Well all GeForce 8800 GT's run at 1.05V normally and the voltage is always blank. But you can crank it up to 1.10V and normally get a little bit more out of it. If you can reach 800MHz is not sure cause even with the small increase it might not make much difference when you can already reach 770MHz. So you can try and see. About the usage, yes your can use it at all time at that voltage as long as the cooling is okay...

Re:Who is owning a GeForce 8800 GT, and ready for tweaking? - 2007/12/28 04:57 Thanks, I'll probably try it tomorrow. If I can get 800MHz stable, I'll post back. Thanks for the info and keeping my fingers crossed to get above 800MHz.

And do you have any update for us? Just wondering if you have been able to hit 800MHz or not as sounds very exciting. If you can let us know your update and this that would be great.

Re:Who is owning a GeForce 8800 GT, and ready for tweaking? - 2008/01/04 14:22 Great thread. I've really learned a great deal from it. I've got a XFX GeForce 8800 GT XXX Alpha Dog edition which I am burning to overclock. I have only 2 concerns, the CPU is a Pentium D 3.0GHz, so I'm thinking I should fix that bottleneck first by upgrading to Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad, else I might not see the full effect of the overclock. I only have standard cooling and I'm scared that overclocking will cause excessive heat resulting in damage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
