I have an EVGA e-GeForce 9800 GX2 and the first BIOS has a very odd size of 130kb taken with nvFlash v2.53 and the second BIOS is 58kb... The second BIOS is editable with NiBiTor v3.9 an I also flashed with the overclock but the first BIOS isn't. Any suggestions, Thanks.
Your file has been deleted as one of the BIOS's is completely corrupt... You need to use nvFlash v5.63, the latest and newest version available to backup the BIOS's correctly on the GeForce 9800 GX2 cards.

nvFlash v5.xx Commands...
"nvflash -b -i0 98gx21.rom" (Original BIOS Backup Card #1)
"nvflash -b -i1 98gx22.rom" (Original BIOS Backup Card #2)

Hi all... And is there a chance for a GeForce 8600M GS support? The origianl BIOS file is attached to be able to add the required support to NiBiTor. Regards...
Great stuff mate, we will try to add that one in as well for the next release of NiBiTor, so stay stuned for the next version. And if others have other BIOS's that ar enot supported please share em as we will add what we get.

Sorry I have written nvFlash v2.53 but I have used v5.63. I have repeated the procedure just to be safe but I have got the same thing. So just to provide additional date please find the details of the extract below.
"nvflash -b -i0 origgx20.rom" ::> 130kb : BR Bridge FirmWare
"nvflash -b -i1 origgx21.rom" ::> 58kb : G92 Board - 0790 Firmware
"nvflash -b -i2 origgx22.rom" ::> 58kb : G92 Board - 0791 Firmware

Now I have modified the two 58kb BIOS's with NiBiTor v3.9 but to re-flash I have to write the following? Just to be safe before I am flashing my GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card.
"nvflash -b -i1 gx2mod1.rom" ::> 58Kb - G92 Board - 0790
"nvflash -b -i2 gx2mod2.rom" ::> 58Kb - G92 Board - 0791

Thanks a lot in advance. I have done using the command "--list" and you can see the correct "-ix" parameter, in my case is "-i1" and "-i2" for the card and the "-i0" is the BR04 bridge. There's a BIOS for the bridge, in the GeForce 7950 GX2 there wasn't. Perhaps in the bridge BIOS there are some important parameters for future tweaks. In the end I want to stress the fact that NiBiTor is an awesome program!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.9 software your feedback? - 2008/03/21 06:58 I explain this when I post my BIOS on the thread, when I just type the normal backup command without specifying the PCB somehow it will give you the option and then you just have to select.

nvFlash v5.xx Commands...
"nvflash -b 98gx21.rom" (Original BIOS Backup)
::> Options to select are 0, 1, 2 and 3.
--- 0 and 1 give BR04 Firmware
--- 2 and 3 give GeForce 9800 GX2 Firmware

So using the "-i1" or "-i2" may be incorrect parameters but I did not try the "-i2" or "-i3" options. These may work? Maybe Mavke can share some thoughs and lend corrections. Thanks.

Well I would go for the manual selection as that is really grabbing the BIOS from the PCB that you have selected and I would agree that after seeing the details that the "-i1" and "-i2" are those fetching the actual two GeForce 9800 GX2 BIOS's, meaning one of each PCB. So I would also flash em accordingly. So yes do as indicated with the defined indexes. And do also share your two BIOS's now with us now that you where able to dump em correctly.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.9 software your feedback? - 2008/03/21 13:31 The GeForce 9800 GTX has been pushed to April. Is there any hope to see the new version of NiBiTor before? Thanks in advance.

Well currently on our planning we are going for a release normally next week so we will see if NVIDIA has really pushed back the date or not, and if so we will see what we will do. But we don't depend on NVIDIA for our software release.

I've included the two original BIOS's from the EVGA e-GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card, as you requested and thanks for the information.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.9 software your feedback? - 2008/03/24 20:30 I have a problem with NiBiTor and my ASUS GeForce 8400 GS, when I save the changes to the BIOS it changes the board ID from 422 to 428.

Well that would be possible if you make changes that are not the way they should and which we can't prevent. So, if you can tell us what you are trying to change or what you have changed than we can see what we can do or provide what limitations you need to take into account.
