MSI GeForce 8800 GTS OC board, and no signal for display? - 2008/03/15 09:05
So, I have a MSI GeForce 8800 GTS OC edition with 320MB of memory. The problem is, that it does not output signal, I've tried to different CRT monitors and two different DVI to VGA adapters, as well as two different PC setups. In any case, Windows is able to load, card is able to control the fan, just can't see anything. I tried to boot with a PCI card being as primary and GeForce 8800 GTS being secondary. Windows booted fine and even installed NVIDIA drivers for the card.
Everest was able to display information as well as temperature readings, NiBiTor was able to read BIOS from the card. All basic stuff has been checked, power connector is connected correctly, CMOS resetted and card reseated etc. This problem is a tricky one, atleast seems so. I guess am able to flash BIOS to the card, does anybody know if there's BIOS fixes available for this card? I checked these pages and there is couple BIOS's available, haven't tried them yet. I Googled that there has been weird sync problems with some monitors with these GeForce 8800 GTS cards.
