Tried a number of 6800 U BIOS on my UEE - Leadtek wins - 2004/12/31 13:34 I tried a number of different BIOS's on my UEE card, and the results were surprising (at least for me). Here is a summary...

After trying around 15 different ones, these 3 clocked the best. Now, I wanted to pick the best of the three, so I ran Aquamark3 with the same settings.

First, the latest eVGA UEE BIOS modded for 1.5V. First run at the CoolBits detected clocks and the next at a standard 490/1280MHz.
Temp 43°C
>> Detects 490/1270MHz
  • AM3 : 76.183

  • GFX : 11325

  • CPU : 11635

>> Run at 490/1280MHz
  • AM3 : 76.061

  • GFX : 11313

  • CPU : 11606

Gainward Cool FX Ultra 5.40.2.15.06 modded to 1.5V
Temp 43°C
>> Detects 490/1270MHz
  • AM3 : 77.802

  • GFX : 11667

  • CPU : 11675

>> Run at 490/1280MHz
  • AM3 : 77.534

  • GFX : 11688

  • CPU : 11653

Leadtek WinFast Ultra 5.40.2.32.00 modded to 1.5V
Temp 43°C
>> Detects 486/1270MHz
  • AM3 : 77.557

  • GFX : 11613

  • CPU : 11677

>> Run at 490/1280MHz
  • AM3 : 77.837

  • GFX : 11694

  • CPU : 11635

So, the UEE BIOS was the worst of the lot. And, when I overclocked my CPU and card, I was able to get almost 90k in AM3. My previous best was around 88K before using the WinFast BIOS. If you are looking for the best overclocking BIOS, I would definitely give the Leadtek a go...

Re:Tried a number of 6800 U BIOS on my UEE - Leadtek wins - 2004/12/31 17:06 Good work....
Do you have the BIOS with the included volt mod.
Or how do you volt mod?
Would be very interested in giving this a go...

Can you provide links to the scores? I can get 90k easy when I null, is that what you did?

Re:Tried a number of 6800 U BIOS on my UEE - Leadtek wins - 2004/12/31 23:52 Null is considered a cheat, but it does improve your scores. Here is a link to my null run score(99k) and my regular score(89k):

Null - 98624 - with UEE BIOS - have not run since Leadtek BIOS change
http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1089767292

No Null - 89553 - with Leadtek BIOS
http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1962182534

They are enabled within the older drivers. The best version for AM3 benching is 61.34. But, remember, the Null cheat is a sore point with a lot of people. I never use it as my claimed score.

Re:Tried a number of 6800 U BIOS on my UEE - Leadtek wins - 2005/01/01 00:03 And, here is the Leadtek BIOS, modded for 1.5V (3D and throttle, 450/1200 BIOS clock) that I use for 500/1320 benching:
File Attachment:
File name: leadtek.zip
File size:43740 bytes

No, these runs were not tweaked runs. I just used the standard settings to verify the BIOS changes. I ran my AMD 64 3200 at 2.5 GHz for the tests. When I want to max the score, I run the CPU at 2.8 GHz.
