Re:GeForce 7300 GS, wrong BIOS flash and computer screwed? - 2007/12/29 23:06 All of you, thank you. It works, thanks again all you guys. It was a bit difficult cause of the tightness of the case and it took me like three goes. Okay people for those who have had the same problem as me, this is who you can resolve this. First you locate the datasheet by typing the EEPROM chip number into Google. Ground them by using tweezers connecting both by the tweezer. Then you boot the computer, and you will hear three beeps if you were succesful in grounding the two pins.

Then you neede to make sure you have the floppy set through "autoexec.bat" which will automatically flash the graphics card at teh last step of the startup of the computer. And after that let the computer restart, but I think it did restart it myself. Welcome your graphics card with open arms and embrace. Thank you all once again for helping.

nvFlash v5.xx Commands...
"nvflash -4 -5 -6 -A -y backup.rom" (Automatic BIOS Flash)

Re:GeForce 7300 GS, wrong BIOS flash and computer screwed? - 2007/12/30 10:58 Well done mate, so you have done the last resort of reflashing and it worked just fine. Great to see that there is always a final way to get the card reflashed again.

Re:GeForce 7300 GS, wrong BIOS flash and computer screwed? - 2008/05/12 14:20 Hi, I have a similar problem. I tried flashing my MSI GeForce 7900 GS 512MB card when my PC freezed. First I tried an PCI card, and friend's PC but nothing worked. All systems are not booting at all when the card is plugged in. I read the articels about the pin grounding, butIi don't know which one of my three EEPROM's I should use. The first got only a sticker on it with MS230 NV066. The next one got 4446 BD6Z1N and the last one 4410 BA641Y, though maybe the last 1 is an I on it. Please help me! Greets...

Sorry, but there is only one EEPROM on the graphics card, so you need to make sure you locate that one and actually that moght have a sticker on it but on most it won't be a sticker. The best way is to see if there is a chip with Amtel on it, as that is one of the popular brands for a flashable BIOS chip.
