NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/26 18:58 Here we go, a new version is again available. We did get access to the low-end and mid-range GeForce 8 series BIOS's and with the help of xtremetheme we have a new update to support these and some fixes. As well as the extra support for low level fan speed adjusting. Upcoming features or things you would like to see... Let us know and we will see what is possible and/or feasible.

NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 Software

And please provide your feedback... That way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your original BIOS as that help a lot to get thing better supported in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/26 19:00 And yes for those who own a GeForce 8800 series card, you can now also tweak the BIOS like you have most likely done with RivaTuner and the low level fan control. Just let us know your feedback on that, and we will see if there is any improvement we can do.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/26 19:23 I've just modded my GeForce 8800 GTX BIOS or to be more specific, the fan settings. I'll let you know how it works when I flashed it.

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/26 21:27 Is there going to be a updated guide to explain the new fan speed control settings in NiBiTor v3.7? Some extra info would be great to get this working or know whta we should change to benifit from this...

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/27 07:38 Heya, it seems to work great. I modified my BIOS and my GeForce 8800 GTX and it is now doing 675/2160MHz with a shader of 1720MHz and it starts out at 70% fan speed until it reaches 55°C, slowly ramps up to 100% when it reaches 60°C and slows down again when it cools down. Looks great...

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v3.7 software your feedback? - 2007/12/27 11:36 Thanks for the quick release of NiBiTor v3.7. It works fine but I've got some software feedback right away. Although you implemented some explanation with the fan speed IC I could not reproduce the described behavior with my GeForce 8800 GT. Well, it somehow works but with the given information I had figured some other behavior than RivaTuner showed afterwards.

I have setup a profile which would operate between 30°C and 109.995°C. The fan would crank up from 0% to 100% distributed over 79.995°C or roughly 80°C, right? To put it in a nutshell the fan speed should reach 50% at 70°C because this is my Tmin of 30°C with half of 80°C added. But RivaTuner shows that it ends up with 40% at about 70°C. What am I not getting here?

Thanks for the feedback mate, I am glad it works fine for you and that is what we somehow expected. Currently this should work just fine for all GeForce 8800 series, on the others we are not that certain.

Hi, just wondering are you using automatic or dynamic mode of the fan speed control option? And what values did you set exactly so we can have a look at this?

Well he is using the automatic mode, with the Tmin set at 30°C and the Trange slope at 53.33°C. At least that is what I know from the extra info I have gotten.
