Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/01 16:23 Hey, I have a Radeon X1900 XTX with a bad BIOS and I can't find the proper BIOS online for it and nothing else will flash. I am not sure but the card will not work at all in any game. I got this info from the graphics card...
Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB PCI Express
- BIOS Part Number : 113A5202156
- 102 Part Number : 102A5202156

I can't find the so called 113A5202156 BIOS anywhere, nor any information online or anything. Can you help on this, so I can re-use my graphics card again? Please help...

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/01 18:34 And what does the card do just in Windows? Does it work there or does it also do strange? Just wondering cause if the card can be installed and is working fine in Windows as such then it might not be the BIOS at all but something really wrong with the card itself. Why do you think it is the BIOS? Have you been doing flashing with it... Some more details would be good to have in order to help you.

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/01 19:00 The card works fine in Windows. I am pretty sure it's the BIOS because it worked fine until my friend changed the BIOS and put this on here. Then it started crashing when trying to play games.

And did you make a backup of the original BIOS before letting your friend change the BIOS? Somehow I guess not and that is as always the first thing that you should do but most of you just think why is that needed. If you did, then just flash back the original BIOS and that should fix your problems. And by the way why did you let your friend flash the BIOS? Was it an overclocked BIOS?

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/02 13:23 My buddy just gave me the card and said I messed it up basically. Said I could have it if I could fix it. Being stick on a crappy Radeon X1650 PRO right now. So yeah, I don't have it but I wish I did. That's why I came here looking for it. Was just hoping someone might have the right BIOS.

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/02 14:07 Okay thank for the clarifications, now it makes a bit more sense why you can't get it to work cause you didn't screw it up. So okay we will have a look, but it will mainly depend on our forum visitors and those who own a Radeon X1900 XT to share their BIOS so you can try it out.

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/03 07:50 Cool, sorry for not making myself clear. Yeah, I had figured it is probably a long shot for this BIOS as I have not seen it online at all. There was one other thing, in this box that I am running, an Intel Pentium 3.4GHz it just goes to a black screen and freezes on this computer. On one of my room mates computer it gives some error message which I can't remember now, if I get a chance to use his computer again I will get the error message... Thanks for the help.

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/03 09:43 Okay, well it would be good to know that error message cause some mainboards are better than other depending on the chipset used and give more information on the actual issue. So yes, if you can somehow get that error message maybe it can help us further as well.

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/08 22:50 From which manufacturer comes your Radeon X1900 XTX? Which changes did your friend make? Is your Radeon X1900 XTX an original one? Probably it was a Radeon X1900 GT or XT before your friend has made some changes? Surely your video card has an identification label. What is imprinted there? Did your friend used a tool like RaBiT or a HEX editor?

Re:Radeon X1900 XT, and a bad BIOS preventing any gaming?! - 2007/11/12 12:24 Well I don't think it depends much on the vendor, as the BIOS is just the same as long as the version is the same, well it is mainly like that for ATI based graphics cards. But yes it would be good to know what changes where done, cause it would be best to undo these if possible...
