The card runs at 800/2200MHz and the overclocking limits in Catalyst are 857/2358MHz. In the BIOS I found this section as shown in the image, so C44E01 = 857 so I changed that to 905F01 for 900MHz limit. When I flashed this modified BIOS the ATI drivers would refuse to run telling me that the device wasn't responding or I needed to install the correct drivers.
Reinstalling the drivers didn't fix this. I also tried editing other data to return the CRC to its original value of 0x4600, I changed the dates that are at the start of the file to do this so nothing important changed. Do you know what I need to do to get it working? Are you editing some registry settings to get Catalyst to accept the modified BIOS? Attached is as well my original BIOS.

And you need to choose the right adapter number. Use the original BIOS and just change the requested values. Let us know if it works.

Doing this, change HEX code for 85700 in BIOS file to HEX for 90000, and I've tried a few other numbers as well. Than flashing with ATIFlash with the options provided doesn't work. When I restart the computer the ATI drivers don't initialize. Reinstalling the drivers doesn't fix this either. I also have another question. Have you tried overclocking with RivaTuner v2.06? When your BIOS was limiting your overclock to 625MHz were you able to reach higher than that with RivaTuner?
With RivaTuner I could run it set at 860MHz. Slightly higher than that the computer would freeze. If I set it much higher so meaning 1000MHz the GPU would go into a recovery mode and run at a really low speed. But setting the speed to 860MHz it would actually show up as 857MHz in the hardware monitor.

And it is best to uninstall all drivers prior to flashing and any and all overclocking utilities prior as well. Then flash card, drivers and overclocking utilities. It is a good idea to use DriverCleaner Pro after initial uninstall of drivers in safe mode.

I found that overclock limits of the card are 790/1120MHz, so I wanted to hardcode it into BIOS. To begin with, I dumped BIOS with ATIWinFlash v2.0.0.2, edited clocks from 600/500 to 750/500 in HEX workshop editor. After double and triple check of the HEX values I tried to flash it using ATIWinFlash, but message no VBIOS found appeared.
Okay, I thought that forcing flash will resolve the issue, so I booted from CD, and updated the BIOS using "-f". After rebooting and entering into Windows, there was a surprise, the graphics adapter was not recognised. No ATI hardware... So I had to reflash the card to original BIOS. I'm perfectly sure that I did everything by the book, so I was in a big surprise when that didn't work quite as planned. Is it possible that ASUS has some sort of flash hacking failsafe?

I am new in to flashing modded BIOS but I was wondering is it possible to increase the core voltage on the Radeon HD 2600 PRO. Now I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 PRO AGP with DDR2 memory. My max memory is 1080MHz. And the GPU becomes unstable after 700MHz. Now I am using AMDGPUTool to do the overclocking because nothing else works with my card. Thank you!

Yes I have tried overclocking with RivaTuner, but I used an older version at that time. No,it was not possible to reach higher clock rates than the BIOS limit. If I tried to set the clock rates higher as the BIOS limit, like 700/750MHz, it ended with a black screen and the clock rates were reset to the default values.
But it is important to mention that there is probable a context, if Catalyst Control Center is installed or not. Some others for example did not used Catalyst Control Center and reached more than 800MHz with RivaTuner. So again, it is not advisable to use more than one overclocking tool at the same time.

If you just edited the clocks, it should notified just three differences. Meaning that 600/500MHz would be as values 60EA00/50C300 and the newer 750/500MHz would be as values F82401/50C300.
