Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/01/31 12:56 And euh for CrossFire you don't think that something could be linked to the drivers? What if you use the default BIOS on both cards and use RivaTuner or PowerStrip to overclock your CrossFire setup? Does it change the clocks on both cards? And secondly can you list what is the difference between both logs, cause like this I didn't spot really what is the difference...

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/01/31 14:37 The only thing I see is the bit about the core clock. With any other overclocking tools I have found I can only overclock the first card not the second but with RaBiT I can overclock both cards but only the second one keeps its settings...

Thanks, I updated your post a bit to make it easier... Now what I don't like on the logging of both BIOS's is that the OverDrive table is actually not really changed...

T = 0..120 °C, GPU = 580.00 MHz, Mem = 700.00 MHz

Normally you update the OverDrive entry and that would mean in your case to set the OverDrive (which is the 3D operation of the card) to the new clock that you want, and that would need to display 620MHz.

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/01/31 22:49 So could be why my card has not take the clocks... We will have to check further. And see what that gives.

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/01/31 23:34 My feedback, since I own a HIS Radeon X1950 PRO and I like how RaBiT doesn't give that error when loading up the BIOS itself and it allowed me to flash my cards BIOS from 1380MHz memory freqs to 1606MHz with no hassle's. Making OverDrive useless... If you ar eusing CrossFire and trying to clock both of them no matter what utility you use you have to set it to both cards. When using RivaTuner when you hit apply it programs both cards automatically but when you hit save upon reboot you need to do it to the other card as well.

Otherwise the CrossFire setup uses the speed of the slowest card. As Mavke always points out when using multi-GPU setups and flashing, flash both cards with the same BIOS (providing you use identical cards) this way your clock speeds and such are matched...

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/02/01 00:43 I'm not using CrossFire, just the one card, but here is the interesting bit from my log after editing the BIOS. Now all I have done is change the fan speeds, I haven't touched OverDrive/clocks at all. So after flashing, OverDrive no longer works and clocks have dropped, by 5 on both core and memory.

Core clock is 580.00 MHz
Memory clock is 700.00 MHz
Reference clock is 27.00 MHz

Set Memory clock to 702.00 MHz
Set Core clock to 580.50 MHz

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/02/01 01:54 What exactly is the OverDrive function? Is this OverDrive's max clock generation? Mine has OverDrive 2D 0-120...

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/02/01 17:19 Since I flashed I'm getting this in the event viewer...

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/02/02 02:33 Best suggestion... Just reflash it back to your original BIOS. If something doesn't work as it should anymore always go back to the original BIOS.

Re:Radeon BIOS Tuner (RaBiT) v2.2.1 Software Feedback... - 2007/02/02 06:15 Isn't it possible to tweak the BIOS to the frequency you wish to overclock the card to and then flash it to get the overclocking? I've tried it twice and apparently my card goes even lower than the stock frequency. Anybody have a clue how this thing works or clues on overclocking it right?
