GeForce 6600 128MB, and any extra performance to gain? - 2007/11/22 22:24 Hey, I was hoping someone could help me out here, I'm wanting to overclock my card an ASUS Extreme N6600 with 128MB memory. While the card works as it should, I think the card can do a little better. I have been reading and looking around the past couple of days. At idle the card sits at 31°C core and 34°C ram temps. Under load the card is anywhere from 40°C to 45°C. I have replaced the stock cooler with a Zalman, with memory sinks if that helps any I don't know. I do have a cool fan close the card drawing air out. I know this is an aging card, but I'm not going to PCI Express till next year. Here's the BIOS, see what you can do with it please. Thank you very much!

Re:GeForce 6600 128MB, and any extra performance to gain? - 2007/11/22 22:49 Well what we need is yoru current overclocking results first. Cause if those are bad any tweaks to the BIOS might not do much good to your card as it is of too less quality. So can you let us know how high you can overclock it?

Re:GeForce 6600 128MB, and any extra performance to gain? - 2007/11/25 08:23 Sorry for the delay in replying been busy with work. So the info you needed, the card A4 8pp, 3vp with 128MB. The max overclock reached with no artifacts or freezing is 420/668MHz. Card showed artifacts and funky colors in Game 4 of 3DMark03, and memory wouldn't pass RivaTuner test past 668MHz. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Re:GeForce 6600 128MB, and any extra performance to gain? - 2007/11/25 09:30 Okay, thanks for the update and feedback. So as with all GeForce 6600's yours came also without a voltage table, but since the GT uses the same chip very often the voltage table of the GeForce 6600 GT is also working with the GeForce 6600. So that voltage table is now available in your BIOS and I have raised the voltage to 1.4V... So just try it out and see if it makes a difference, just make sure the cooling of the card it okay.

Okay, great. Yes please keep up posted on your findings. As far as I am aware this should work as it worked for quite some users already having a standard GeForce 6600 graphics card.
