Re:XpertVision Radeon HD 2600 PRO, and tweaked BIOS update? - 2007/12/25 16:10 Ostoja wrote:
Just a question for you guys using original XpertVison Radeon HD 2600 XT BIOS in XpertVision Radeon HD 2600 PRO cards, do you have any issues with functionality of outputs on the card? I ask this because Palit and/or XpertVision Radeon HD 2600 PRO has DVI, D-Sub and HDMI output connectors, while the XT has 2x DVI and S-Video output.
I had a Radeon HD 2600 PRO before and flashed it to the XT version. I didn't have HDMI to test, but I keep getting black out from the display while using the PC in the Windows, not even gaming. So I changed back to default BIOS and already sold the Radeon HD 2600 PRO card and did get a Radeon HD 2600 XT instead.

Okay, thanks for the info so it doesn't seem such a good idea to just flash a Radeon HD 2600 XT BIOS on the PRO version...

Re:XpertVision Radeon HD 2600 PRO, and tweaked BIOS update? - 2008/01/09 18:17 Well no, indeed. It is not such a godo idea to flash a Radoen HD 2600XT to a PRO version as also the memory is different. As most XT versions do come with the faster GDDR4 memory compared to the less fast GDDR3 memory on the PRO version...

Re:XpertVision Radeon HD 2600 PRO, and tweaked BIOS update? - 2008/02/05 11:27 Hi there. I just bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 PRO having an AGP interface with 512MB of DDR2 memory and I was wondering can I use this XpertVision BIOS on it? Without killing my card that is.
