As for the BIOS saving with ATIFlash, I will have to make a FAT32 partition in order to save the file. It will take some time. Meanwhile, I used option "-v" on the file backup with ATIWinFlash, and it passed 100% in comparison to adapter's BIOS so I think it's okay.
Mmm, I dont get it... ATIFlash dump is the same as ATIWinFlash backup. I think that the problem has something to do with BIOS checksum value, every other option is exausted...

Did you used maybe a command which calculate the checksum? Whatever, normally it shouldn't be a problem. But if these changes set on the wrong place maybe there is a problem. Reason for that could be for example, newer card and/or BIOS and older program version. By the way, for various reasons I still use FAT32 and DOS. Just to clarify some possible differences. Test the attached BIOS. It is your edited BIOS but now with identical checksum as your original BIOS. I have changed the checksum manual at a uncritical point.

Now after some testing I got it running on 775MHz stable. My memory speed is 1080MHz. I have been thinking what I am doing wrong. Can I get the card running around 800MHz with a voltage increase?

This is normal because ATIFlash is the DOS version and there is just one nice coder that is converting or also called porting this DOS version to a Windows version, but it is all based on the ATIFlash. So in the end there is nothing different on how these two programs are doing the backup of the BIOS.

Probably yes. The PowerPlay entries in a Radeon HD 2600 PRO DDR2 BIOS shows lower GPU voltage settings as for the Radeon 2600 PRO or XT with GDDR3 memory and the Radeon HD 2600 XT with GDDR4 memory. So far I didnīt found a BIOS for a Radeon HD 2600 PRO DDR2 with AGP interface. Standard GPU voltage in 3D mode are as follows: - Radeon HD 2600 with DDR2 : 1.15V - Radeon HD 2600 with GDDR3 : 1.20V - Radeon HD 2600 with GDDR4 : 1.27V

I tried with the file you attached, but there's somethig spooky going on with my card. It just doesn't accept anything than the original BIOS, so I will have to wait for BIOS update and/or newer version of ATIFlash. Thanks for your effort.

Could you move my original BIOS file to the BIOS download section? Here's the details, it is an ASUS Radeon HD 2600 PRO (RV630) with 256MB DDR2 memory and with of course the PCI Express interface. The memory is actually Qimonda, 2.0ns. You're the man.

If you have issues then you will need to make a bootable DOS media like a floppy or USB memory stick and use ATIFlash to backup your original BIOS as such.

Now I just need to now how to change the voltage on the card. Well, I got in to same problems. I used this ATIWinFlash and it gave me two adapters on my card. I know that I have only one, when I clicked on the second option I got black screen. And now I can't even get anything going. I have a backup video card but I am just wonder if I can reset it to where it was, I am not sure what is happening because I didn't flash the card. It feels more like I switched something. Thank you for all the great info.
