Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/08/19 11:19 I'm having problem seeing BIOS on my HP Flat Panel LCD dislay with resolution 2560x1600, and the card I have is Sapphire Ultimate X1950 PRO with 256MB GDDR3 memory. Is there any new BIOS fixing this issue? Monitor only resume when Windows starts at the moment and I heard only BIOS change can fix it. Current BIOS saved in attached.

Re:Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/08/19 11:57 Well, frankly I don't whay you are trying to say as your message doesn't make much sense. So can you try to explain in understandable English what the problem is? What do you see, what don't see and when? Cause what you say below, is speaking about BIOS, but I don't see what problem the BIOS has and why it would be the BIOS. So explain your issue, and let us figure out the solution.

Re:Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/08/19 13:50 Hi, reset your monitor to factory default in your monitor menu. Had the same problem. I think it can help...

Re:Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/08/20 00:50 Okay let's try again. My problem is that on a flat screen with native resolution 2560x1600 I can't see anything until Windows start up and Windows driver initiates. I'd like to see BIOS screen when I switch PC on. From what I found on different forums some graphics cards are working okay but some not, the one I have unfortunately is not working well and I was wondering if firmware change can fix my issue. Thanks...

Re:Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/08/20 08:22 Well as somehow already mentioned I doubt it will be the BIOS... But okay, can you backup the original BIOS of your Radeon X1950 PRO graphics card? I would like to check it out and compare it with some others.

Well the BIOS itself is fine as far as we have checked and can determine. But it is a bit different then the normal Radeon X1950 PRO BIOS, but that doesn't mean anything. Now what you could try is to use the standard Radeon X1950 PRO BISO which will clock your memory a bit lower meaning 1400MHz instead of 1600MHz but then you can check if it makes any difference. If it does and solves the problem we can always modify that one to be a Ultimate BIOS... As always flashing you do at your own risk, but it would be something we would try...

Re:Radeon X1950 PRO, and a fix for Flat Panel display issue? - 2007/09/01 14:56 Can you please point me to the BIOS file image you would recommend? There is a number of versions in the Sapphire section.

Well just download em all, then check on each the small text file that is included and use that one with the version number as close to Ultimate BIOS as possible, by that we mean the cloest lower version. If that works you might to try the one following as well.
