Sorry but I had to remove your post from the BIOS thread, as that thread is only to attach the original BIOS's and not to request or start a discussion. First of all, what do you mean with a working BIOS? Do you own the Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT GDDR4 graphics card? And what is wrong with it? Cause just like this I don't think we can help much...

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/14 16:35 Yes, I own a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 video card. Today I'll try to post mine, but the board isn't working with Vista 32-bit or 64-bit, only with Windows XP 64-bit drivers. On both Vista's I got a blue/black screen. On Windows XP machine micro freeze every two seconds. So I though after I tried everything except changing mainboard and read the bad BIOS issue post, that maybe mine was broken. Please let me know where I can post this. Thank you!

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/14 16:46 Well get us your BIOS so we can compare it. Cause just so you know we got a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT with GDDR4 in our hands as well for review. So you might just be lucky as our card is working just fine with Windows XP, with no blue screens except when we overclock it to far, lol.

Hi, I have exactly the same problems as calbano, with the same card, the Sapphire Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB GDDR4 so please can you provide us a working BIOS? Thank you, and sorry for my English!

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/19 16:31 Okay, I took the board to a friends house and try it on his computer as I've already tried replace power supply, new Windows on new hard disk, etc and worked wonders on Vista 32-bit. So I guess the issue was my mainboard, I have an ASUS P5VDC-X that has a PCI Express x16-x4 speed max that means lanes are missing. Maybe that's the problem or maybe my mainboard is not compatible, but I'm using the board on Windows XP 64-bit and it's working really nice at least four times better than my old Radeon 9800 PRO.

So I'll continue to use Windows XP 64-bit untill I get money to buy a new, board and memories. Please if you can still compare the BIOS and let me know. Thanks for your help. And Jovyland I hope this test helps you...

Re:Request:Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 BIOS... - 2007/08/19 19:40 I tried all that and problems are still here. Anyway thanks calbano, but I'm probably gonna need a new BIOS?!

Well I doubt that it will be the BIOS... But just to make sure can you as well backup your original BIOS of your card and attach it on this thread. I will later this week again install the Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT with GDDR4 again in our test system and do the same and then I will start comparing.

Here is a detail description of my problem... My Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 is overheating, temperatures are going to 95°C and crashes and freezes every time I start some 3D applications like 3DMark, games. And then restart my computer. Now is even worst, my computer freezes every time when temperature reaches 60-62°C. Also I noticed that the fan on the card is always at 16%, no mather if I'm running 3D aplication or not.

I tried with reinstaling Windows, different drivers meaning Catalyst v7.5, v7.7 and v7.8 and problems are stil here. Also I updated my motherboard BIOS and installed newest drivers for all other components. In ATITool settings for fan controlon the fixed percentage when it's set to 100% the temperatures in idle are 47-50°C, so every time I start computer I have to turn on ATITool fast and set this fan speed settings before card reaches this temperatures! Do you think that problem is in my video card BIOS or it's something else? Once again sorry for my English.
