ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, peltier and insulation question? - 2007/07/22 01:04 Hi people. I'm about to peltier my CPU so I started preparing the mainboard insulation wise. I'm not sure though what to do with the 8 power distributors found around the CPU socket. Any ideas?

Re:ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, peltier and insulation question? - 2007/07/22 21:09 To be more specific, I'm refering to the parts R47 under which a copper colored coil is house. I was wondering how I should insulate those.

Re:ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, peltier and insulation question? - 2007/07/23 09:13 Well I think you insulate those as any other part. At least that is somehow what I have seen for some that applied already a peltier cooler... But I am not 100% sure.

Re:ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, peltier and insulation question? - 2007/07/23 11:09 Thanks for your reply Mavke. What worries me is that those parts were generating a respectable amount of heat when they were cooled by the stock heatpipe fan configuration around 50°C with lazer thermometer, so it's a double sided dagger! Closing them up can be hazardous, and also it can be a condensation generating spot!

Okay, that is a very valid point you are raising there and indeed if that is the case then it could be a condensation point to got worried about... But I am not able to help you further on that, we need some real expert that has done this already.

Re:ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, peltier and insulation question? - 2007/07/27 17:49 I'm going to run the cooling system with the PC off and see if condensation is forming anywhere near those points (R47). Mavke thank you for your interest and when I find a solution I will update this post.
