I was just under the impression that ATITool would be able to make a valid backup. Can you retry with ATIFlash v3.35 using a bootable DOS media like a floppy or USB stick? Cause that is the only way it works, ATITool is not yet ready for the Radeon HD 2x00 series.

Well also your BIOS is not okay. It is much too big, so how did you make the backup? Currently there is only one program that can do it correctly, ATIFlash v3.35... So can you try that?

Re:Radeon HD 2x00 Series BIOS's... We want em, thank you! - 2007/06/28 05:34My doubt is about the romsize. Cause my older Radeon X1900 card was 10000 but the Radeon HD 2900 when you use the "-i" option then ATIFlash shows romsize equal to 20000. The regular 64Kb ROM file goes to 128Kb. So the attached zip contains 2 files, the 10000 and 20000 romsize. Please reply me if you got it right!

Re:Radeon HD 2x00 Series BIOS's... We want em, thank you! - 2007/06/28 09:37Well frankly I don't know what you are talking about but it doesn't doe anything except adding "FF", no data to the BIOS file until 128kb. Really now both BIOS's are in practise just fine but one contains 64kb of empty non used data. Now I don't know why you checked that or so but if you would have used the command of ATIFlash v3.35 as I put in my post it would have dumped the BIOS in the exact size required.

Re:Radeon HD 2x00 Series BIOS's... We want em, thank you! - 2007/06/28 13:36Hey, well I use a slightly different command with the extra option at the end... Cause that is what ATIFlash gives when you ask for help. So, is there something else I can do to help you?

Re:Radeon HD 2x00 Series BIOS's... We want em, thank you! - 2007/06/28 14:50Yes backup the BIOS with the command that I have listed, that extra option should not be used that screws up everything. Just drop that one as it makes no sense to use it. See command again that you should use, which will give you a correct BIOS.

Re:Radeon HD 2x00 Series BIOS's... We want em, thank you! - 2007/07/14 09:19Just a small reminder, that this thread is to attach your original BIOS's, for any discussion you start your own thread. And also to remind you that we still need these BIOS's, cause we are not yet there to release the program that can work with these... Thanks!
