ATI Radeon X1600, program to recognize new BIOS clocks? - 2007/06/07 11:51 Hi, I flashed my ATI Radeon X1600 with some nice stable settings a couple months ago, since then I have updated drivers etc. but all the software programs register the settings as stock. The Catalyst Control Center shows the old clocks and so do a lot of the monitoring programs that I use. Can you tell me how to make it show the current clocks? I believe is has to do with something in the BIOS but not sure. Or it could be that the drivers aren't picking it up as it should, which would be the basic Radeon X1600 settings, I don't know.

Re:ATI Radeon X1600, program to recognize new BIOS clocks? - 2007/06/07 12:18 Euh, that is not normal if you really flashed a BIOS with adapted clock speeds then that will be shown immediately in all programs as they just read it from the BIOS... And which card you have exactly? Cause I don't see any Radeon X1600, but rather a PRO or XT version?

Re:ATI Radeon X1600, program to recognize new BIOS clocks? - 2007/06/08 15:11 Thanks for the response. It's a Radeon X1600 PRO 512MB card. I used RaBiT and ATIFlash to set up my settings and to flash the card. I can attach a copy of what I did if you think that might help. Thanks...

Well if the flash went fine then the new clocks should just show like that in all tools and programs. The Radeon X1600 PRO runs default at 500/800MHz... So just check at what speeds yours is running.

Re:ATI Radeon X1600, program to recognize new BIOS clocks? - 2007/06/20 08:02 Thanks for the help Mavke. I found that since I only flashed the 3D and not the 2D that it was causing the problem. Once I flashed the 2D it fixed it.

Okay, thanks for the update and sorry for the late reply... I am catching up on some older items now that I got just a bit more time to spend and not really feeling up to starting something new.
