First of all you need to go for the newer version of nvFlash, so please for the GeForce 8 series you need nvFlash v5.40 or higher and I would advise to use nvFlash v5.50. Secondly, flashing is best done with a floppy and before you do make sure you made a backup first of your original BIOS on the card! Don't just flashing without having a backup. You can flash using a CD, but if you are using Vista currently you can use any tools in Vista that are able to backup your original BIOS... Yeah, Vista is quite different from Windows XP in that aspect.
So, I would strongly advise to just get the floppy connected and make a bootable DOS floppy disk and use that for making the backup and flashing afterwards. This is the best solution or what is also a good one is to use a bootable USB media which can boot in DOS. And then you can use the commands as listed below. To go from from a GTX to Ultra you will need to force the flashing.

Oh, by the way I didn't see nvFlash v5.50 when I downloaded it on here, because it was on the second page, and didn't notice there was another page! On the first page the newest version is v5.13, but it seems a lot of people are doing the same because in the top downloads nvFlash v5.13 is there. I think it needs to be more obvious theres another page with newer nvFlash versions, lol.

Well there is no software to flash from within Vista, it is just too cumbersome to get that done due to the Vista interaction with the hardware which requires certain authentication. So really, Vista isn't the operating system when doing BIOS flashing. Also in Windows XP it wasn't advised but it could be done, but it always came at a risk. The DOS mode is the most save way, cause there is then no interaction between Windows on the graphics card.

Isn't that obvious how you can find out. Why do you think that some persons with their GTX can only overclock to about 1950MHz on the memory while others can do 2100MHz? That just how you can find out, by overclocking via software and see how far you can go without artifacts. I generally use ATITool to find the maximum clock speeds. And just so you know the first 1.1ns memory chips didn't have the same quality as the current 1.1ns chips that come from the manufacturers. The newer are better and that is why BFG is also setting their OC and OC2 edition which gotten released later with higher memory clock of 2000MHz.

And secondly the shader clock remained the same so I don't see exactly that the shader clock was bugged? Could you explain... Thanks.

Oh, well that is one logic that you can apply. But it is not because of the drivers that will lock the corte and shader clock together that this is the best way. You can even set a core clock of 612MHz with a shader of 1458MHz or just set it at 1566MHz. And even then the one with the highest shader will give better performance. So your logic is okay, but I don't agree fully with that as it is just something that NVIDIA has set and after quite some testing I have done with the GTX all the way up to 650MHz core with different shaders, you don't have to follow the scaling of NVIDIA to get the bets performance.
