Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 12:30 I don't know, but the text is really really too small. Concerning the SimpleBoard to other forums conversion, depending on your funds you can go for a full blown Invision board or vBulletin and get very good chance to do an import. Or you could also try a free forum such as Simple Machines...

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 12:32 I didn't forget the attach, but the board told me it was too big and then posted my message anyway? So now I have to repost another to show you the actual difference related to the font size that could do with a bit bigger.

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 12:55 Thanks for the update! I will look into this further. What would you think of SMF forums? Simple Machine Forums? Cause that one has full support to work fine with the CMS system that we use. For latest posts modules to work and stuff at least. So what do you think would this be a viable option?
Simple Machines website, free and professional community!

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 13:01 Well, I think if you can place the current forum to level up directory so it can be seen full screen and not trapped between a quite narrow site borders. It'll be good also in my opinion. Furthermore lastest posts are very easy to get from a mySQL database, needs one small query. Should not be limiting your forums choice. Is it possible to let the forums be moved to its own space, cause also banners in forums work best at the top and near the bottom, just for your info. And increase font size? Yhat would please many I think.

I must admit that the main reason I don't visit these forums often is that they hard to read and take ages to load with all the none forums related content being loaded each time you do an action in the forums. So that was really a reason to not visit the forums as much as I would have liked to. So just something that you can really work on.

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 13:21 Point taken and I think I will have to shift this on my todo points as a priority. Thank you for this valuable feedback, now it is all up to me to check and get something done. At least I know now why some visitors don't check the forums often...

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/03/30 14:46 I'd also second the forums and font change. While I adjusted to it, many new users may not take the patience to do so. Also, have you heard of Joomla? It's basically Mambo with the new improved user base and the old Mambo developers. The Mambo is no longer the same. There has been a dispute between the trademark holders and the real coders. Regardless the Mambo project is basically dead, as the original coders have crossed-over to form Joomla.

Actually, I think there is some people that only post to resolve their problem. That's kinda true, and that's okay. This site is for modding video BIOS's. But you have a few helpers, that can help modding the BIOS, and give support too, for people that area sking for other problem! Loading, actually, the loading is medium. I think it will depends of the person if its hard to read, I have no difficulties to read the forums. With the new post on the index, this is really nice. So, maybe to look if there is alot of people that think it's hard to read, but loading should be the one to look more at. If it's faster, maybe this would help alot.

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/10/28 00:04 Hey guys, been here a while but haven't really posted much as of late, anyhow. With that stated, so you guys and gals know I'm 43, I'm no perve and did'nt want to start another thread for this. It is all about the ads on the right. Umm yeah, mods feel free to add or delete this or move it also. Just think there kinda offensive, but I understand you gotta make money too. Just figured there's prolly young people in here. Sorry tried to be descrite about it, didn't mean to offend others truely!

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/11/11 14:58 Good morning Mavke, I had not visit this site for a little while but I always recommend it to people wanting to tweak their video cards. Much of them are young people that attend my youth bible studies class, you could imagine my surprise, or embarrasement when one of them come back to me and makes reference to the sex ads in your home page, I don't remember seeing them before, my question to you is, is this something permanent?

I realize you need to make money and always encourage my class to donate when they get help. Perhaps you didn't know that people offended by this type of ads also visit your site and enjoy gaming. I personally have lots of respect for this community and the help that they provide, I would really appreciate if a moderator or even you Mavke would get back to me and let me know if this is something that you plan to change in the near future. Respectfully...

Re:Looking for site feedback, provide your ideas and comments!? - 2006/11/11 15:16 Hey mate, nope it is not permanent, and it is actually a misconfiguration on my part with the advertising zone I defined with AdBrite. But these are paying to Adbrite for a week or a month. And these gotten in for a month. Yeah even I can make mistakes, it was a small option I had to untick and I forgot. Since it is a bit annoying I have disabled the ads, until these expire.
