Re:Can you change the GeForce 7900 GS into a GT version!? - 2007/12/12 21:34 Hi, after my GeForce 7600 GS sucked I bought an ASUS GeForce 7900 GS AGP 512MB video card. After installing RivaTuner, I look up to enable hidden pixel and vertex units. RivaTuner shows that the first pixel unit is disabled and the last vertex unit. I make a mark at both but after reboot RivaTuner shows again 20pp/7vs. So can I enable the masked units or are they permanently disabled? Thanks...

Nope, that is not possible. Since the GeForce 7 series that is permanently locked and can't be enabled anymore. This is just because NVIDIA lost quite some sales due to the ability that you could unlock pipelines with their GeForce 6 series... So not possible at all anymore.
