Registered on the Connect3D forum two days ago and still haven't received the account activation email so I can't post my query on their forums. I can log into my account though which confirms I did actually apply (it was April 1st after all). Have emailed their support team to activate my account but no joy yet! Sigh. My Radeon X1600 PRO does look nice 'n' shiny in it's box but I'd rather have it in my PC!

Re:Request:Connect3D Radeon X1600 PRO 256MB BIOS... - 2007/04/03 20:16 Hey, I have a Radeon X1600 PRO too and I had the same problem until yesterday, I installed Windows and put on the drivers but when I installed the Catalyst 6.4 drivers my PC restarted and when it booted in Windows it froze. No screen appeared and then I read the forums, downloaded the BIOS and flashed the card but still the same story. I can't imagine what happened the card was working fine till I had installed freshly the Windows. Some advice please...

Re:Request:Connect3D Radeon X1600 PRO 256MB BIOS... - 2007/04/04 16:18 Well, first of all you should have uninstalled the drivers, which should then revert back to the old situation. Then you flash normally the card and re-install the drivers. But in your case uninstall the drivers, maybe via safe mode and install em afterwards again, as you already flashed the new BIOS.

We are aware that BIOS's may solve the issue, although we do not have a BIOS version to issue as we were never given one for this issue. In this case we suggest to try ATI or consult the user who suggested the BIOS. Hope all goes well, however if any queries or problems please keep us posted. Kind regards... Lot's of issues going on there but not much in the way of help! Back to ATI I suppose.

Connect3D actually has a wrong BIOS on these card and well that guy from Connect3D is just replying over and over again the same thing. On the forums there is another guy that does know what it is about. So did you finally got on it?
Connect3D Radeon X1600, Catalyst 6.5 and up failure...
