No offence but those are two completely seperate boards, its not just a different socket. They have totally different workings. But thanks I'll look into that board.

Re:New motherboard, what to go for...some thoughts? - 2006/06/25 18:12 For a s939 board, which is fine, I would go for Asus A8V. Yeah, chipset via, but it is a very good board.

I had it, and it run very fine. For cheap. This is a good motherboard. Via K8T800 Pro, is a very good chipset. It's fast, good with hard drive (formating a 20gb partition, it tooks me like 7sec, with a full format lol).

Re:New motherboard, what to go for...some thoughts? - 2006/06/25 21:36 Are you guys sure the lower pic is the older revision???

Thats sux because i really prefer the layout of the lower one over th top, the spaces between the ram slots is nce and the sata ports are all grouped together.

I really want that board.

***EDIT***
Yea looks like you guys are right the one I like is the lanparty version. So thats great. Thats it thats the board i'm getting.

Trouble is that i cant find one anywhere???

Ebay is zip on any dfi boards, and i dont know where to look.

So if any of you find a DFI nF3 Ultra-D Lanparty (new or user, just as long as it works)

tell me!!!

Re:New motherboard, what to go for...some thoughts? - 2006/06/25 22:49 Thanks guys for your help i contacted the guy selling the mobo at hardcore.

Thats a nice price $100 shipped.

Anyways i was wrong its not a differnt board it was different revision.

The one i wanted was the very first one ever made, it was at a showcase somewhere but never came to the public.

It sure was nice looking though, had 8 SATA ports and the positioning of every part was just perfect.

anyways the current revision is still goood and thats the one i'm getting,

I dont care about the price, I'm not skimping this time, i want a high quality board.

so if you find any more places whee i can procure that board feel free to post.
