Re:GeForce 7x00 series BIOS's, and we want these, thank you!? - 2006/04/14 16:30 Well yes normally most GeForce 7900 GT are quite similar so you might want to try one from another brand. Now if you have more questions you will need to start your own thread as this thread should only be used to attach your original BIOS so thanks for that! So who else will supply his BIOS?

Re:GeForce 7x00 series BIOS's, and we want these, thank you!? - 2006/04/15 11:02 I'm interested to see how the XXX BIOS differs from the 450MHz version I have. Anything to report? Thats to say would my card benefit from the change?

Well so far the only difference is the clock rates... The normal, standad version works at 450/1320MHz while the XXX edition works at 560/1650MHz. So what I would check before trying anything is to check the memory modules on the card itself. Somehow I think the standard version might be working with 1.4ns (rated at 1400MHz) and the XXX edition with 1.2ns (rated at 1600MHz). Then we know if there is really a difference.

Then when you checked that the best way forward is to see if you can overclock you card on the core? So how high can you go? Can you reach the XXX edition speed of 560MHz? Do the overclocking with steps of 10MHz and benchmark in between by using 3DMark05/06... Can you let us know?
