Sapphire changing their ways, expanding? - 2006/04/10 15:09 There is some rumors since a few months, and Hexus gave the information from a interview, that the first partner of ATI, could be making card from NVIDIA chips. Here's what the General Manager from Sapphire says: I don't say that all our consumers ask for NVIDIA card, but alot asked for NVIDIA and ATI card. That's like Dutch cars. Some wants Mercedes and others BMW.

If ATI doesn't sell alot of their chips, and NVIDIA is doing good, this is not good for us. Sapphire can produce about 1.8 millions card each months. But Sapphire shows itself more critical towards ATI... There is not enough Radeon X1K, or they are late. Some sources said that Sapphire is doing that each six months, and this was not new. But this time, it's more significant.
