This should have been done a long time ago lol... But for me, I'll wait till AM2. I have an AMD 3200+ doing the job, I'll overclock it to his max clock, then after change my computer (same for my BFG GeForce 6800 GS, it will be unlock). But here's a good thing.
Instead of launching a Socket AM2 in nice, snowy Hannover, the company pushed the launch all the way to beginning of June, when hacks from around the world will gather at Computex in Ole' Taipei. Although almost every motherboard manufacturer exhibiting on SnowBIT is showing a Socket AM2 motherboard, the fact is that the CPUs were not delayed, but the new and improved memory controller is being placed into the marchitecture. I'll keep my money. Maybe the first CPU will be a little better, but the next will much better... Did AMD deliberately delay Athlon 64 DDR2?
