Finding out the Gainward markings? - 2005/12/10 12:10 Well I am starting this thread as I have several Gainward BIOS's left on my system and I don't know to which card they relate to... Meaning that it can be the standard, the Golden Sample or even the CoolFX version. So I will need some help from the Gainward owners on this one to get this all added on the download section. So if you have a Gainward card then can you help me on finding out the markings?

I will start with some that I know, the markings you can find detailed on the card itself... So please check and get back to us on this thread and then we can maker sure the Gainward section get's updated with a lot more BIOS's for everyone to use.

Some details on short names used...
- Gw : Gainward
- PP! : PowerPack!
- U : Ultra
- GS : Golden Sample
- GLH : Goes Like Hell

Gainward Markings - Card Details
>> AGP Versions
- P542020MQ0M4 : Gw 6800 GT 256MB (PP! U/2400)
- P542020MQ0M0 : Gw 6800 GT 256MB (PP! U/2400 GS)
- P542020MQ0M6 : Gw 6800 GT 256MB (PP! U/2400 GS GLH)

>> PCI Express Versions

- P844010MQ0M5 : Gw 6800 GT 256MB (PP! U/2400PCX GS GLH)

So I would like to know this for all Gainward card starting as of the early GeForce 5 series up to the current versions... So come guys help out and then we get all these BIOS's I have added...

Re:Finding out the Gainward markings? - 2011/05/12 05:17 Gainward BLISS 7800GS+ Golden Sample Silent Limited Edition

I hope this helps. (Card has all 24 pipelines and 8 vertex shaders of fully optimized G71 chip) I just inherited this card so I don't know if I have the latest bios for this version or if I even have the right bios for this revision, which is the A2 revision of the G71 Chip. I only had one sticker on the backside of my card. The bios that came flashed onto my card is 5.71.22.12.03 from revision A2.

I've been wondering if this card will work with bios for 7900GT chip for pci-e card due to the fact that it uses the fully optimized G71 and the pcb board has a HIS bridge chip to convert pci-e signal to agp signal. This bios might help improve performance of this card?
