Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 07:13 I've uninstalled the drivers, RivaTuner and PowerStrip but when I reistalled the drivers and RivaTuner it seems as though its kept the overclocks as defaults maybe from the PowerStrip overclock... I'm gonna try DriverCeaner to get the cards back to stock clocks, just wondering if this is a common occurence with PowerStrip, as its the first time it's happened to me. I've used RivaTuner before but this is the first for PowerStrip, I forget to set back to default before uninstal...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 07:19 Well if you reinstall the driver, and set the clock to normal, the reinstall the driver(before unistall them), will this work?

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 07:26 You can try this, and if it doesn't work, try to find in the registry all the keys with PowerStrip. For sure, there is somethings in your registry that keeps the clock. When I was using CoolBits, when I reinstalled the driver, I get back to stock clocks.

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 07:42 Nothing yet gonna try the restore point then start from there though I hate the restore point thing usually screws up somewhere, wish me luck...

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 07:44 Yeah good luck, that's something I disable for more performance. Or reinstall PowerStrip than give your stock clock. It's PowerStrip, or maybe the SLI that's keeping your clock, but I wouldn't think so lol!

Re:Card won't revert to default clocks... - 2005/12/10 08:11 Well I guess none of the admins are gonna respond, jutt has been busy according to the posts today with guys that really do need the help, so if I can't find a solution other than reinstall Windows not really a problem other than the time, installed a load of games gonna go back to another restore point first see if I can get back to before installing PowerStrip its only been up two days lol... I'll get back to scratch no problem! Hehe, thanks for the help talk to ya in a day or so.
