cut pipes? i think you're thinking of the x800pro VIVO which has 12pipelines. ALL X800XT's have the full 16pipelines, regardless of having VIVO or not. also the only difference between the this card and the XT PE or X850XT are clock speeds so you can pretty much just overclock it.
as for the performance of the card... well its pretty similar to the 6800GT. which games will you be playing most of?
