NVTweak - 2004/11/18 17:40 This little utility allows you to activate or deactivate coolbits and certain other nVidia tweak settings.

Thanks to rewt over at nVNews.

Re:NVTweak - 2004/11/22 02:43 Ok, cool. That would eliminate the need to rename the .zip file, too.

Re:NVTweak - 2004/11/22 02:55 Hi guys, thanks so much for your support! I'm honored to be part of the team here @ mvktech.net!!

Below are the changes I have made since v1.0.0...
Changes in v1.5.2
--------------------------
- Added option to apply Coolbits 3D
- Added option to ignore OS Rotation Limitation
- Corrected labeling of Quadro specific options
- Fixed minor error in Coolbits options code
- Added option to enable/disable Screen Menu Page
- Added option to enable/disable nView Tray Menu
- Added option to restore defaults
- Added option to enable/disable Overscan Shift
- Fixed error in HLink.ocx on some systems when viewing the About dialog
- Renamed Coolbits 3D button to 'Enable All'
- Added option to minimize to taskbar
- Added INF Editor utility
- Added error handling code to Open and Save As dialogs
- Updated INF editor utility to jump to Device ID and String sections
- Updated program description and legal copyright © on NVTweak Properties dialog

Screenshots available on my homepage.

I suggested that Mavke delete the older versions (older than 1.5.2) mainly because they had a bug when viewing the About dialog. Another reason is that the new version has more useful options as well as a more detailed description and copyright © on the properties dialog.

I will keep you posted on any changes I make in newer versions. Feel free to make any recommendations as to any new features you would like to see in future versions of my utility. I'll try my best to add them in...

Thanks again!

Re:NVTweak - 2004/11/22 13:28 Hi,

I really like this little tool. What does the PowerUser option do?

Also, I know that all you have to do is to exit the program to apply the changes, but it feels wierd doing that. It's just not natural. If you add a button named Apply that does the same thing I think it would end a little of the confusion some may have.

Re:NVTweak - 2004/11/22 14:45 I've been using the tool as well, I like the fact that it gives you the older control panel... Great stuff...

Re:NVTweak - 2004/11/24 03:51 Thanks I'm glad you like it guys!

JRd1st, all settings are applied in real-time. There is no need to exit the program first.

Re:NVTweak...Some questions - 2004/11/24 14:59 I have some questions regarding the nVidia tweak programs...

By installing NVTweak, RivaTuner, and the official nVidia Video Control Panel (at the same time), will there be any comflicts between the tweaking software's? Does one override the other or do they work together?

Thanks
fci

Re:NVTweak...Some questions - 2004/11/24 15:13 nVTweak just turns on the same pages that CoolBits 3D does. It doesn't actually tweak it just gives you more options to do it in nVidia Control Panel.

If you change your clocks with RivaTuner they'll show up changed in nVidia Control Panel too. I don't think RivaTuner would really interfere except if you turn something on with one tool and turn it off with the other.

As far as the RivaTuner strap driver goes, I have no idea what that might interfere with...
