GeForce 6800 GT but no display, even tried BIOS flashing? - 2005/10/27 23:13 My friend has my Gainward GeForce 6800 GT Golden Sample and he recently just installed it but for some strange reason he is getting no display showing, he is using the graphics adaptor and it doesn't work on mine either. Anyone know whats wrong? And it turns out that EEPROM has been erased and so he got a copy of the the BIOS from Gainwards site and he tried to flash the card using nvFlash, and he is getting errors like supported EEPROM not found and mismatch in 128 byte page-made programming. And he checked the version of current BIOS and he found that it was unavailable and its invalid. He has also tried to force flash and same results...

Re:6800gt but no display - 2005/10/28 20:33 First of all, what version of NVFLASH are you using, as some chips were not supported in the the earlier version, so download the latest, which is on this site now.

Next, providing your eeprom is one of the bottom ones (at the end of this thread) use one of the bioses on this site, and make an autoexec.bat with the lines

nvflash -r
nvflash -4 -5 -6 yourbios.rom

Reboot and you should be away.

Oh and sometimes the vga connector wont work if the incorrect bios is on the card, as some bioses are set to two dvi's or just one dvi connection.

Last of all check your eeprom for the following :
