Full Screen Video Overlay for TV? - 2005/10/03 13:13 Does anyone know how to send a full screen video overlay to my TV output. It was possible with the old drivers by selecting theatre mode, but I can't seem to figure it out with the Catalyst drivers. I want to be able to play a XViD for my girl, while I do what I need to do on the PC. It seems like clone is the only option. I messed around with Hydravision a bit, but I couldn't make the TV stick with a unique desktop. Please any help or clues? I'l post the solution as soon as I find it. I did a quick forum search, but I couldn't find anything. Still waiting for ATI!

Re:Full Screen Video Overlay for TV? - 2005/10/08 15:01 Gotcha brother. Here goes. I figured it out, at least for me. I have a Radeon X700 Pro. Get into Catalyst and go to the Advanced View for all the options. Second, set the TV as a clone. Third, goto the Video Tab and select Theatre Mode. Finally, go back to the displays Manager Tab, right click on the monitor and in the context menu select swap display mapping. You may have to do this once or twice. I use Zoom player myself. I suggest you have the file playing will you fiddle with this.

Also, I don't know how to determine which monitor is active with display mapping. I just had to mess around. I tried it with Zoom player (works fine with full screen video to TV, even when minimized to tray) and media player classic (doesn't work?!). I don't know what player you use, but it definately works with Zoom player. This is all I know. Good luck!

Re:Full Screen Video Overlay for TV? - 2005/10/09 14:14 Thanks for the update. I don't have an ATI card myself but it will certainly help others who have a similar issue. Thanks!
