Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/19 13:59 Not really worried that much about and yes it has an active cooler, that's a fan right? Just never seen the temps of it before so I just assumed it's a high number. So what do you think, this SE is unlockable?

Did you try to unlock em already with RivaTuner? Cause that is what you should try first... From the pictures I saw that you have 2.0ns memory so you should be able to make at least 1000MHz to 1100MHz on the memory.

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/23 01:07 What's the process of unlocking it with RivaTuner?

Well can you check the below link? Yes it is linked to the GeForce 6800 unlocking but it works similar for the Radeon X800 series...

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/24 22:32 To help you some extra please look at what I put up as images and how to get in RivaTuner to the place to unlock masked pipelines... First install RiveTuner and then start it up and you should see the screen below.

You should then see your own video card listed under Target Adapter... See my screenshot of with my card details. Of course yorus will list your ATI Radeon X800 SE.

Then you click on Customize on your video adapter and you should get something like shown below, all small icons which you can click. Take the first one!

It should list as Low-Level System Settings when you move over it with your mouse...

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/24 22:36 Once you clicked on the first icon it will show up a next screen...all about the Low-Level System Tweaks, like Overclocking, AGP and NVStrap Driver (maybe for ATI it will show something else, if so let me know).

Then you choose the NVStrap Driver, as this one is the thing that will be able to show the masked pipelines and to activate em via RivaTuner.

Then change the settings as show below to be able to get to see the config of the pipelines...

And press Customize... A new popup will show up.

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/24 22:38 Once you gotten that popup you should see all the pipelines that are available masked and non masked... In my case non are masked. See image below...

Let me know what you get... With the check before the bit xx you can enable or disable the pipelines that are masked.

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/26 05:34 Will try that. I have received the new cooler so I can do some further testing. Also what BIOS should I be using?

I don't know yet what BIOS you should be using as you need to tell me if you can unlock the masked pipelines yes or no...

Re:Radeon X800 SE and the plan... - 2005/08/30 17:12 Okay installed Riva Tuner and everyone went well except I couldn't see the NVStrap tab.

I saw that the NVstrap drivers were reloaded but there was no option. Does this mean it can't be done through Rivatuner? Do I have to hard mod the laser cuts?
