80.40's = poopy - 2005/08/19 05:52
After testing, screenshots not included but evidence remains, the 80.40 drivers just decrease image quality. When setting bot antistop and antialias to application controlled in the control panel, and then going into cs source the anistop is of bad quality. Setting both antialias and antisrop to 4/16 result in crappy image quality. When forcing 4/16 through control panel it looks fine. This would explain the better "performance" and higher benchmarks. I am now running 77.77 and think they are a bit slow. My question again is what drivers yeild the best performance/quality. Quality of course taking more importance over performance. If you dont believe my findings, test them out. Run a game w/ application controlled and take a ss, and then run forced settings and take a ss. The difference is very noticable.
