NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v2.3 software and your feedback? - 2005/07/17 10:40 Yeps, a new version is again available. Thanks to xtremetheme for the new update with some big updates and several other fixes. As well as some extra support and new features... Some nice updates for GeForce 7800 GTX owners are included amongst other things that have been improved, enjoy!

The core clocks seem to be taking affect. But the 3D memory clock is being applied for all 3. If there another tool I can use which will independently and reliably report the true core and memory clock?

Mmmm, do you mean NiBiTor v2.3? Cause there is no v2.3a... And we are not working on such a version, as we are moving to v2.4 (to come). Can you supply use the BIOS so we can also try what you are trying to do? Just attach your Original BIOS on this thread or send it via mail to me...

I later modded it to run 250/500MHz in 2D and 475/650MHz in 3D. But, once booted, the overclocking tab within the NVIDIA Control Panel claims the 3D clocks are 475/500MHz.

Indeed correct, the memory clocks you only have one memory clock settings which is the same at all time for 2D, 3D and throttling only the core clocks may be adjusted indepently if the BIOS allows it. I am not able to check the BIOS right now. I will check it though and provide some feedback when I get home.

And indeed as confirmed you can only change the 2D/3D core speeds independently, but not the memory speeds. This is already since the GeForce 6800 series the case... And thanks for your BIOS, as the Albatron we didn't have yet on our archive so I will add it up later today on our download section. Thanks!
