Oh Windows...You open them and... - 2004/11/06 08:51 Well most of you will be running a Microsoft Operating System so you can share in this forum whatever you want on that... Which Windows you are using and what you think about it. What Software you are using on it and why you like it so much... Or maybe you have problems? Tips? Tricks? Well let us know...

Re:Oh Windows...You open them and... - 2004/11/24 04:23 I have used every Microsoft OS since the Ms-DOS days, so I am quite experienced. Right now I am using Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2. IMHO, it is the safest for home PC and internet use, in that it has extra features to prevent viruses, adware, spyware, and popups, etc.

A handy little site for XP tweaks can be found...
http://www.tweakxp.com

If you have any questions related to Windows just let me know. Chances are I'd be able to answer them.

P.S.: I do know some *nix as well, as my web provider is Unix based.

Re:Oh Windows...You open them and... - 2004/11/24 04:41 Cool, thanks rewt!

Ok, here's one for you. I have Windows XP Pro too, and the only thing I can't figure out is how to get MSN Messenger to sign in automatically when Windows starts. Every option that would allow automatic sign in is selected, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MSN Messenger. I've allowed it in my firewalls, all Passport and MSN related cookies are protected from removal,...everything!

But it won't sign in automatically! It just sits there, offline. I think I may have done something with a tweak and I don't remember it or something.

Re:Oh Windows...You open them and... - 2005/08/18 09:11 Well Mr. JR, maybe you would be well answered by Microsoft eXPerienced staff. Of course, a bug that noone is using is a bug to find.

Anyway, pretty sure the world out there at Microsoft will be pleased to help you out with your enquiry.

If you don't have any real valid comments to add then you can better not add them. This is a forum to help people and not to just point em elsewhere! What has Microsoft has to do with members helping each other? Nothing! Consider it as your first warning!
