NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v2.2a software and your feedback? - 2005/07/01 12:25Yeps, a new version is again available. Thanks to xtremetheme for the new update with some big updates and several other fixes. As well as some extra support and new features... A fast release due to some things we spotted while testing with some GeForce 7800 GTX owners, so we hope to have fixed those things for the better!
And please provide your feedback... That way we will be able to support you even better! Also provide your Original BIOS as that help a lot to get thing better supported in the next versions!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v2.2a Software Feedback.. - 2005/07/01 19:55Could there be a screen to show current memory timings? If possible, I don't want to keep both NiBiTor v2.0a and v2.2a. maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Hi, NiBiTor v2.0a doesn't show your current timings, just the last of the TimingSets, and if you're lucky its the one which your card uses. RivaTuner shows your current timings, which you then select from one of the TimingSets in NiBiTor.

Re:NiBiTor v2.2a Feedback... - 2005/07/06 20:22The NiBiTor v2.2 and v2.2a versions are both excellent!!! I've some time editing with HEX editors the number of tables (activating 3 tables) fan speeds and now all is simply included, even full tables in hex. No less than excellent.
I have some recommendations for a new version, if is possible will be great the possibility to edit manualy the checksum for BIOS like ASUS which drivers need original checksum to work. I do it with hex editing post NiBiTor.
Other tip, I've been trying add temperature control in GeForce 6600 (non GT) BIOS, based on FX5950 temperature control, it changed from standard 145ºC, but I only found 0ºC. I add to the BIOS the string 8C8C 646E (for 140ºC) in a clean part in the middle of the start of the frequency tables (which have 0000 0000 free lines) but 0ºC is the result, even changing to any value the temperature. I try with 8C8C, 8C00, 008C and none working. If I found, immediately I correct this info.
Thanks. Fernandz (sorry for my English)

Re:NiBiTor v2.2a Feedback... - 2005/07/07 19:56Thanks fernandz, I will add the option to save without changing checksum, didn't know that from Asus cards.
On your trying to add throttle value to GeForce 6600, putting values from FX5900 into empty spaces of 6600 will not work, because it seems these are not at the same position and have same format. To add throttle value on 6600 you would first have to know where throttle value is stored on 6600GT, I still haven't found this.

A few weeks ago I asked you to add in a new version of NiBiTor function of editing performance and voltage table. When v2.2 were released I found there are many bugs in realization of this function even in this new version. Users can make changes in these tables that will hang their videocard...
There are no any limits for parameters of these tables.
HEX editing of these tables are only for experts, cause only they can understand what it is.
Entries of Voltage Table always must be growth-sorted by value of voltage. But in NiBiTor I can set entries anyhow.
As I see NiBiTor's way to find out perf. table & volt. table in BIOS image is searching for predefined signature of their headers. But it's a wrong way.
Yesterday I set the pointer to PT & VT to null but NiBiTor found these tables.
As for searching of memory timings I can only suppose that the way is similar. As resume I just wanna show you that I wanted to get in new version (v2.2) of NiBiTor. It is my new tool!
P.S.: Anyway, I wanna thank to xtremetheme for his NiBiTor!

Re:NVIDIA BIOS Editor (NiBiTor) v2.2a Software Feedback... - 2005/07/08 15:44Yev, you upload a un-supported application without asking us if you can distribute it on our site. You spam threads and post off topic postings on every thread you ever replied too. It would be nice if you can be professional enough to email us about your ententions, prior to just spamming the tool on our site! You have no disclaimers or documentation and we don't need a rogue application posted without the properly asking us. Get the application standardized and documented, then we might be able to work something out, until then, don't bother. After decompiling the application, it appears as if you ripped some code from other applications!
