Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/05/30 16:27 Please also add what you posted in English or I will be forced to remove both previous posts! The Forums are in English so all can follow and understand, so if you want to explain it as well in another language you will have to put both. Thanks!

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/05/30 17:00 Sorry about that will never happen again. JuStAdsor was trying to help me with the Radeon 9800SE but I don't have it anymore that card so I don't need any help.

Thanks for understanding.

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/05/30 20:20 Oke. For flashing a locked BIOS use...
"flashrom -p -sst 0 bios.bin -f"

But...in my case... It writes the BIOS, but the computer doesn't start anymore, so I have to use a PCI card to restore my old BIOS. I think that some bits remain protected, and the flash program doesn't write them. So...when I'm trying to put an XT BIOS for example, it writes the BIOS, but I think that some bits it can't write them correctly.

I think I must try Gigabyte flash first...to disable the write protect, then try it to flash again... My card is a Palit Radeon 9800SE 128MB 256Bit with Samsung 2.8ns memory.

Please post if you succeed in this.

Re:Radeon 9800SE to 9800PRO... - 2005/05/31 10:43 Finally here it is, the XT BIOS for Palit 9800SE 128M 256bit Samsung 2.8ns R360. I don't asume any responsabilities for this one. It works perfectly for me, try it at your own risk. This one is made by me by converting original SE BIOS to XT.

For flashing use this command...
"flashrom -p -sst 0 nou.bin -f"
FlashROM version 2.40.
BIOS working frequencies: GPU 380MHz - Memory 320MHz (x2)

After you flash this one, you must install Omega drivers. Or if you join pin 2-3 with conductive ink, you can install any drivers you want, and the card will be reconized as XT.
