Connect3D X800 XT PE BIOS - 2005/04/08 08:31 This is the "backup.rom" from my Connect3D X800 XT PE. I am still debating on whether or not I want to flash it. I have noticed it doesn't seem to benchmark as well as a few non Connect3D X800XT PE's. I have seen a few with the same exact setup as mine.

Card stats:
Brand : Connect 3D
Type : Radeon X800 XT PE
Memory : 256MB
Memory Brand : DDR2?
File Attachment:
File name: backup.rom.bin
File size:56320 bytes

Re:Connect3D X800 XT PE BIOS - 2005/04/08 12:53 Mmmm and how well does it perform now? And what system do you have? Cause all that does matter on how well the card will do in games and benchmarks.

Re:Connect3D X800 XT PE BIOS - 2005/04/08 13:07 And with what would you flash it with? As you already have the highest Radeon X800 chip on your card...

Re:Connect3D X800 XT PE BIOS - 2005/04/08 18:55 My last 3DMark05 Demo came out to 5904. Anyway I want to update the bios because I read this at Extremetech.com.

"It appears that the AGP versions of ATI's Radeon X800 XT PE and X850 XT PE are both bottlenecked at the AGP interface on Half-Life 2. What's odder still is that this issue cropped up only on this game, and occurred even when AA and AF were disabled. At a test resolution of 1280x1024, a 256MB card should still have a lot of memory left over for texture caching, so we don't think this is a cache-thrashing issue. According to ATI, there's an issue involving AGP buffer size on ATI's bridge chip that causes AGP transfers to be incorrectly slowed down. A video BIOS update fixes this issue, which should make AGP and PCIe scores essentially the same if the two systems have identical CPUs."

That's from an article called 3d Graphics Price Performance shootout on Extremetech.

My system specs are as follows:
Processor: AMD 64 3400+
MB: MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R
Ram: 1 GB DDR 3200 CAS 2.5
and of course the video card is the Connect 3D Radeon X800 XT PE.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Re:Connect3D X800 XT PE BIOS - 2005/04/25 05:50 If you want I can post my Connect3D X800XT PE bios since I see you have the AGP version(your motherboard uses AGP from what I found out) and I have the same card as you. Let me know and I'll post it for you.
